I was working as a Business Analyst in a city firm, but I felt that my existing Project Management skills were not being formally recognised or nurtured. I had taken qualifications such as PRINCE2, however, it was clear to me that I needed practical training/coaching to prepare me for a future career as a Project Manager. I conducted some research on Google and signed up for a coaching package. The bespoke coaching helped me to understand the project management skills and experience that I already had under my belt, that had been simply labelled in a different way by my previous employer. I also learned how important stakeholder management is in the overall Project Management field. My instructor added a lot of flavour to the training sessions, gave practical examples from her career to explain the concepts, which greatly helped me to put into context what I already knew. In addition, my instructor’s positive attitude and encouragement raised my morale during my subsequent job search. I’m happy to report that one month after taking the coaching, I found a job as a Project Manager in a major pharmaceutical firm. I have no doubt that the training I received during the Project Managers masterclass contributed to the fact I landed the job.
